Installing WordPress step-by-step

In the vast and ever-evolving landscape of the internet, creating and managing a website has become an integral part of personal, business, and organizational endeavors. One of the most prominent tools in this realm is WordPress.

WordPress was born out of a desire to simplify the process of building and managing websites. It originated as a successor to a blogging software called b2/cafelog. In 2003, developers Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little collaborated to create WordPress, which quickly gained popularity for its user-friendly interface and robust features.

At its core, WordPress is a content management system (CMS), a software application that facilitates the creation, modification, and organization of digital content. What sets WordPress apart is its open-source nature, allowing users to not only utilize the platform for free but also to modify and distribute its source code.

WordPress stands as the undisputed leader in the world of website creation, serving as the go-to tool for building sites of any category or complexity. Its user-friendly interface, extensive plugin ecosystem, and robust features make it the preferred choice, empowering users to craft websites with ease and versatility.

There are two types of WordPress installations: one using WordPress servers on WordPress.org, and the other on your own hosting. In this guide, we will delve into the most common method – installing WordPress on your own hosting.
